Pro users now get a cloud save slot. I wanted to keep the experience simple and not go in a full "Start a new project" and load projects kind of way. So this is simple: one button to save your current editor state to our server, and one button to load it back whenever you want and on whatever device you want. Every time you hit save, it overwrites what was there before. Just your latest saved state, always and everywhere available.

This is a Pro feature. Free users still get automatic local saves, which means your work is preserved even if you close the tab or refresh the page, but it stays on your device.

Local autosave still runs for everyone. Every change you make is instantly saved to your browser in the background. Cloud save is on top of that and a conscious action, for when you want to make sure your work is safe on our end and accessible from anywhere.

Image Slide

I also added a new type of slide that enables you to upload an image per slide. This is mostly for testing purposes and soon will probably be replaced.

The images are stored for a reasonable time but are not in any way permanently stored. This is by design as I want video creation with Motionbun to be ephemeral and not a heavy process.

The only exception are images that exist when you save your work on the cloud which are transferred to permanent storage until you delete them by removing them from your work.

Made the decision to change the base of how colors are used. While freedom to choose is great, videos are much better when they follow a defined palette and makes the slides feel natural in sequence. Also removes another decision you had to make per slide.

Light & Dark theme

So the per-slide color scheme picker is now replaced with a simpler, more consistent approach. Choose between a light or dark theme, and it applies across all your slides. You'll see how much more cohesive your videos will feel like and how it makes the editor even more delightful to use.

CTA Button slide

There's a new Call-to-Action slide type. It renders an animated button with a cursor that clicks it, complete with a glow burst on press. It comes with10 styles to match your brand or mood.

Two big additions to make the experience much more pleasant and versatile.

Icon slides

There's a new type of slide to use. Pick from thousands of icons, add an optional title, and even choose an expression effect (shake, pulse, or bounce) . Icons animate in automatically!

Auto-save

Your work in the editor is now automatically saved (locally in your browser). Close the tab or render a video, and your slides, colors, and aspect ratio are as you left them. Progress is now automatically restored unless you want to use the "Reset all changes" option, to start fresh.

Just launched Motionbun! It's a great way to create videos super easily with beautiful animated slides stitched together. Had to restart from scratch several times and scope down but the experience is delightful.
